*Alison Downs was born in Springfield, Massachusetts. She spent most of her childhood and teenage years moving, living in St. Petersburg, Florida, Medford, Massachusetts and East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, to name a few.
She has currently settled in Northern Connecticut, where she lives in a renovated textile mill with her boyfriend and their kitten, Major Tom.
Alison wrote her first "book" at age four (written with orange marker on copy paper) and has been writing ever since. She is currently working on a novel and college essays.*
